Calibration Systems
Every analyser must be calibrated periodic. The frequency of calibration depends on the application, range and type of analyser and how vital the data is for the operator. Most analysers are calibrated weekly. Water analysers are calibrated via a standard solution that normally is prepared in the laboratory.
Standard solutions should preferable be used immediately. For the higher ranges it is possible to prepare a high concentration solution, store it and dilute it prior to using it. For low range analysers the standard should be used immediately. It cannot be stored.
ODS offer analysers complete with automatic wet chemical calibration systems. One calibration standard can be analysed several time and is only excepted when the results are repeatable. Also a standard can diluted to be able to calibrate the complete linear analyser range. Calibration data is stored in memory.
In some cases it is possible to add a calibration check. Using calibration gasses there is a possibility to check an analyser fast. It’s not a real calibration but more a single-point check. The analyser span-check can be done by anyone at any moment. It is easy and fast. This routine gives a 99% assurance that the analyser is reading correctly. ODS offer these system if applicable.
