Signal Processing
ODS delivers with the complete analyser package also the signal processing hardware and software. Mostly this is quit basic. Examples are:
- Junction box; small wall mount cabinet with screw terminals. Analyser relay outputs, digital inputs and analogue 4-20 mA signal outputs are wired to this junction box. All terminals/wires are labelled;
- Extra equipment; such as low voltage DC or AC power supply, relays, a PLC can be integrated into the junction box or a separate enclosure;
- Stream selectors: with a stand alone stream selector a PLC and logic units are required.
- Alarms and reset; If safety equipment is needed, such as LEL-detection and/or oxygen detection, then the logical units, signal lamps and reset button are built in a separate interface box;
- Interaction between an analyser and an external sample conditioning panel can be done via small local PLC’s;
- Pump control: If an external sewer pump is used then it is common practice to control it via a pump control box. Extra logical functions such as current protection and start/reset functions will be needed.
